cannot believe this beautiful lady is married!!! i had the best time by her side all weekend watching her walk down the aisle and being with great friends. i have to say i am pretty depressed coming home from such a fun weekend! missing my ladies already! pics from the weekend...

florida bound babyyy

happy friday kiddos! i am jet setting to florida in about 20 min but wanted to leave my friday blanks. hope everyone had a great week and has fun plans for the holiday weekend ahead. hopefully i'll have some free time to park myself poolside for an hour or so between all of the wedding festivities. if not, well, that's what a spray tan is for haha. cannot wait to see this pretty lady get married on sunday...i truly can't stop smiling!

anywhoo, onto this week's blanks...

1.  the best surprise ever would be  a surprise trip to my family's house in cashiers, north carolina. i haven't been in 2 years and am reallllly missing it lately.

2.   being proposed to  is my most favorite memory .

3.  the hardest, but most worthwhile thing i've ever done was move to texas after living in florida for 22 years. it was a big step...but had i never moved here, i would have never met my future hubby ;) everything happens for a reason.

4.  the best part of my day is getting home from work and spending time with trey and bailey. although going to the park isn't my favorite thing to do after a long day of work, i know bailey needs to get outside and i love spending time with my boys!

5. something i like that most people don't is  mustard on my french fries. and bleu cheese.

6. something i am willing to fight for is my family. thick as thieves ;)

7.  something you might not know about me is  i love cereal. i could eat it for every single meal. truth.

so, i'm assuming all of you know what pinterest is, and you are just as addicted to it as i am. i spend countless hours on that damn web site every week pinning wedding ideas, fashion inspiration, delicious recipes and of course diy projects. well, i'm happy to report that although i have 85 pins on my "diy" board, i can officially say i've completed one!! one down, 84 [and counting] to go. i have to say...i feel very accomplished. yesterday, i repinned this:

 no, my nails don't look exactly like the pin (do these things ever turn out perfect?). but, hey, i'm human and giving yourself a mani ain't no easy task. anywhoo, i was very impressed with the end result and i'm kind of into this look! it's definitely given me the inspiration to try some more of the diy projects i have pinned. they all seem impossible, but you know what, they are very possible! they may not come out exactly as pictured/described, but practice makes perfect.

wedding wednesday

happy week, kiddos! i had the best time this past weekend at my friend heather's wedding, and i cannot believe i'm headed to florida in 2 days to celebrate another wedding! one of my besties lauren is getting married on sunday, and i cannot wait! she and her hubby were truly made for each other - you probably remember how excited i was/constantly talking about her bachelorette party here, but i seriously cannot believe the wedding is actually here! time flies! anywhoo, this wedding wednesday is not about me since i'm right smack in the middle of two weddings, so i'm just going to post some pics from last weekend instead and next week i'll do the same this this weekend's wedding. got that? haha

it was truly an amazing night - i am so happy for heather and sam. they make a gorgeous couple - these photos do NOT do it justice. hope you all have a happy hump day!

engagements, weddings, birthdays...oh my!

seems like there is always something to celebrate these days, am i right? last night, one of my best friends in dallas got engaged to her boyfriend of 5+ years! the best part was all of our group of friends were able to be a part of it and celebrate. sweet tyler has been planning this for a while, and he let all of us know on wednesday that we needed to be at a certain bar in dallas on thursday night at 8:30 p.m. to surprise katie (side note - smart of him to let everyone know on wednesday because it would have been super hard to keep this a secret any longer than 24 hours!). anywhoo, he took her on a little scavenger hunt in dallas, proposed and brought her to idlerich (fun bar in dallas) and we celebrated all night! it was so much fun - i am beyond happy for them and so excited to have another engaged friend! they are such an awesome and fun couple and are truly perfect for each other.

yayy! so happy :)

onto today's blanks...

1.  something that is very near and dear to my heart is my family - they are amazing and irreplaceable

2.  this weekend is good cause to celebrate .

3.  the most fun i ever had was   going to telluride with trey and our friends - not only because we got engaged but also because i love traveling and going on trips with trey and/or friends!

4.  true friends are   the ones who you can always pick up where you left off with, even if there's a large time lapse between visits.

5. something that makes me terribly happy is   i am marrying my best friend exactly 3 months from today :)

6. a good way to spend a sunny day is   outdoors, with a cold beverage and with good friends

7.  my favorite celebratory food is  any sort of baked good...cake, cookies, cupcakes. nom nom nom

tonight we are going to a [belated] birthday dinner for trey, followed by a welcome party for heather and sam's wedding, and tomorrow is the wedding!!! woohooo. it's officially wedding season and i am super pumped i have back-to-back ones. hope everyone has a great weekend!

wedding wednesday

so, now that i have my dress (well...i don't technically have it yet, but i know what it looks like!) and my shoes, i need to pick out my wedding jewelry! if you know me, you know i looooove big, fun earrings. my thought is i'll wear something simple and classic to the ceremony and throw on some fun ones for the reception. thought it could be a nice little way to change it up!
