happy friday friends! my week has been a whirlwind of jet setting and trying to get ready for one of my besties bachelorette parties this weekend! sunday and monday, i was in tulsa for work (pr conference), and yesterday and today, i am in houston for work (hotel grand opening). my work duties are finally over and i can get into party mode. i am en route to the airport as we speak for a weekend full of boozing with girlfriends, beach time and celebrations. i truly can't wait!
onto today's friday blanks...
1. my greatest strength is...my organization and my outgoing personality.
2. my greatest weakness is...my impatience. i have no patience and get totally frustrated at stupid little things (i.e. traffic and airport security lines)
3. people always compliment me on...my dimples. funny story, trey's first line to me was "are those dimples real?" no, this is not a joke.
4. if you found me procrastinating you'd probably find me...pinning. all i do is pin, pin, pin no matta what!
5. the most cozy place in all the world is...my bed - but only if trey and bailey are snuggling in it too.
6. something new that i tried recently was...pâté. not a fan.
7. this weekend i will be...beachin it with best friends and celebrating miss lauren's last single weekend in south carolina baby!

wedding wednesday
today, we are talking about one of the most important parts of a wedding...the bridesmaids!! i have 11 [yes, you heard that right] bridesmaids. they are all very close friends who i couldn't imagine taking this huge step without having them by my side. so, yes, although it may look ridiculous, it is what it is...so deal with it! anyway, when it came to choosing a dress, i [of course] wanted something that matched my and my maids' fun/outgoing/laidback/party personalities and that also wasn't so formal and bridesmaidy. i also had to keep in mind that it will be august in florida...which translates to hot and humid. it's rather impossible to find the dress that they'll "totally wear again," but i love what i decided on. i made an appointment at bella bridesmaid and was instantly drawn to lula kate. she makes adorable and fun dresses that scream "party." i also wanted to give my maids a choice since i know some people are particular to certain styles and necklines, so i chose two styles of lula kate in a champagney/gold color. i love what i came up with! without revealing the dresses, here are some lula kate inspirations.

1. my favorite color is turquoise and coral.
2. my [future] home decor color palette will include a lot of neutrals, whites and browns with pops of green and blue.
3. other people always tell me i look good in the color coral...it's one of my favorite colors to wear, but i don't have a ton of it. perhaps that will be my focus this spring!
4. the color i detest is bright green or bright purple. i really don't detest either, but i don't have too much of the colors in my wardrobe. just not my style.
5. if you were to look in my closet most of the colors you'd see would be neutrals with a couple of brighter pops of color. a lot of my closet is white and black.
6. a color that i simply cannot pull off no matter how hard i try is bright orange, which is a problem because the Gators' colors are orange and blue...
7. the color of my favorite dress is white...if you know anything about me, you know i am obsessed with white dresses :)

well friends, we made it to friday, and i just have one thing to say...
is anyone else superfreakingexcited about the hunger games premier? i read all three books within 3 weeks last summer and cannot waittttttt to see the movie. i'm going tonight at 10 p.m. (hoping there won't be too many teens/tweens at that time?). so in the meantime, let's get pumped up...

wedding wednesday
hola friends. today, let's talk calligraphy. it truly boggles my mind how people can train themselves to write in such a pretty way. my mom is a calligraphist (word??), so i am lucky to get my wedding invitations calligraphied for freeee baby! but in the meantime, i have some really fun pics i wanted to share that i would choose if my mom wasn't such a balla.

happy friday
happy friday everybody. has everyone had a good week? this has been one of those weeks that keeps on going...and going...and going. i feel like i was in tampa weeks ago...not just 5 days ago! my boss was on spring break with her family this week, so i had to hold the fort down here, and it was a little hectic. guess a lot more goes into owning a business than i thought.
anywhoo, the weather in dallas has been pretty amazeballs lately, and i am so excited to take advantage of it this weekend. methinks spring is finally here and the cold is gone. for a loooong time. mother nature was very very good to me this year after the miserable icy winter we had in 2011. thank you m.n. you are very kind to this seasonally depressed chica who hates the winter.
the warm weather has forced me to dream of a new spring wardrobe. sadly, i don't have the pesos to make this dream become a reality, but here is some of my inspiration via pinterest of course ;)
