wow, i am really sorry for taking a week-long break from the blog world here! i don't have much of an excuse except to say that i have been totally overwhelmed with life lately...t and i just finished redoing our closet and recarpeting the upstairs in our house, so it has literally been mayhem. aside from that, i've been trying to get wedding details finished, whip my butt into shape and work a full-time job all at the same time. been a bit stressful, mmk? but the good news is the work on the house is 99% done!! we are staining our hardwood floors next monday and tuesday, but no more contruction hip hip hooooooray. our new closet is absolutely heavenly. the one negative to the house trey bought 2 years ago was the closet space, and we have fixed that problem woop woop! i will post pictures once we have all of our things in there, but it is magical. biggest closet i've ever had and i was so giddy when they finished up last night. i've been living out of a bag basically for a month, so being settled in finally is a huge weight off my shoulders. as you all probably know, i am a neat freak, so having my clothes unorganized and in all different places was making me quite cranky. my hubby-to-be is the absolute BEST for doing this. methinks i need to take him to a steak dinner to thank him :)
so as far as a recap of the last week, nothing too big to report. i went to a phenom concert last night for a band called
the head and the heart. if you haven't heard of them, i urge you to spotify their shiz because they are amazeballs. definitely one of the top 5 most incredible concerts i've ever seen. it helped that we were in a small venue here in dallas where the acoustics were great. after last night, i've decided i'm not interested in going to concerts at huge arenas any more - it's just not worth it unless i'm in the second row. i'd rather spend $25 to see less well-known bands in a cool small space where you can actually see [and smell?] them. and hey, what's better than saying "ohhhhhh [that band]? yeah, i saw them 2 years ago at a concert of 100 people when they weren't famous and they were incredible." you know it feels good to be
that guy who knows a band pre-fame. i know i do ;)
in other news, i am counting down the days until my bachelorette party next weekend!! i am seriously so excited to be at the beach with my best girlfriends soaking up the sun and good times. i feel like i'm going to burst with excitement! i just hope this next week flies by because i am too giddy for a slow week. good news is i'm taking off wednesday night to florida so i have one day in tampa to get some wedding shiz done. tis the nature of the beast. i still can't believe we are 2.5 months away...wow.
hope everyone has a phenom weekend!
