MY friday

Happy thursday ladies! But more importantly, happy friday to me! Sorry to rub it in, but this will be my last day off for a loooooong time, so I have to enjoy it - even if it is at your expense ;)

Not a whole lot happened this week, so sadly I have nothing to report on...BUT I am flying to the beautiful Tampa, Florida bright and early tomorrow to see my momma and pops for a couple hours, and then one of my besties and I are off to roadtrip to Gainesville for the weekend! I couldn't really get excited until today because I've still been hungover from the wedding last weekend my week has been so busy, but I am FINALLLLLLLY ready and so pumped for the weekend ahead! Wish me luck...this is my first time staying in Gainesville since college, so let's hope I don't drink/act like I did in my younger years and make a total fool of myself.

I'll keep telling myself that. In the meantime, I'm finishing up my "10 Day (why has this taken me longer than 10 days) You Challenge" right meow...

amazing weekend

I love weddings. I mean, honestly, who doesn't love weddings? One of my good friends Brittany got married on Saturday, and it was an absolute blast. Every single part of the wedding was so her - she is an event planner, so literally everything was perfect. I decided to sass it up this weekend and wanted to show my outfit since I rarely pull such a stunt!

My dress is BCBG - I've had it for a couple years and have only worn it once or twice. It was kind of a risk for me since I don't like to dress flashy or stand out, but I loved it! It was a great party dress, so I think I'll have to bring it back out soon  - maybe New Year's!

I wish I had taken more photos of the gorgeous reception and delicious food, but I was having way too much fun catching up with everybody. What a great weekend!

1.   The best thing I did all week was  complete my long run this morning! It wasn't realllllly long (6 miles), but I haven't run that far since April - before my surgery - so I'm pretty proud of myself for running at a great pace and only stopping once to stretch :)

2.  Watching How I Met Your Mother make me super happy.

3.  Pets are a great addition to the family. I don't know what I'd do without my cuddle sessions with Bailey!

4.  My relationship with my family and friends are the best thing about my life.

5.  With the cooler weather I am looking forward to  leggings, light sweaters, scarves, boots, blazers, crockpot cooking and running in the cool afternoons.

6.  Something that's on my "wish list" right now is   a new "everyday" leather handbag - maybe in a camel color.

 

7.  This weekend I am going to  my friend Brittany's wedding! My brother and sister-in-law will be in town, as well as my old roommate and great friend Hannah. I so excited!

I only watched the red carpet...isn't that sad? Awards shows are too long and drawn out for this chick, but I absolutely love the glam dresses and wanted to share my favorites (and least favorites).

FAVES

 

Sofia Vergara looked absolutely GORGEOUS. Beautiful color, and it fit her perfectly. LOVE

I also loved Nina Dobrev's (the chick from a show called the Vampire Diaries) dress. Very glam.

 

Sparkles! What a great Emmy's dress - the perfect amount of sparkle without overdoing it. Nice choice!

Love this look! This looks like something I would pick out for myself - if I were invited to such an affair, of course.

Onto my dislikes...

Okay everyone evidently loved this dress, but I was not into it at all. 

This was the most bizarre of all of them...it didn't do anything for her, and I just didn't get it.

Well, I made it back from ACL alive...but exhausted! Saw some phenomenal bands that I've already downloaded music and albums from and am not more obsessed with Austin than ever. I think I asked T if we could move there 38492045 times. One day :)

Since my brain is still a bit fried, I figured I would fill this lovely Monday post with my "10 Day You Challenge" and my belated "Fill in the Blanks Friday..."

 

Three films!? Is that a joke? I can't possibly pick my three favorite films of all times...but I WILL pick three that I am really feelin' the love for on this Monday afternoon, how about that?

1.   You should always take time to  smile at others - you never know when someone is having a bad day, and a smile from a stranger could make it better :)

4.   Saturday is my favorite day of the week.

5.  Something totally dumb and ridiculous that I love is  you-tubing weird videos. I could do it for hours!

6.  If I could, I would stop drinking beer...beer bellies just aren't cute. At least it's not bathing suit season!
