happy monday!

i had one of the most productive weekends ever! it was pretty amazing. a nice break from going out and consuming lots of alcoholic bevs and unhealthy food. friday night, i caught up on some zzz's. saturday, trey and i took bailey boy to the farmer's market to stock up on delicious (and local) produce for the week. it was so fun! after lunch, we headed to costco to grab some much needed household items and finished off the day cleaning the house. we saw the dark knight rises on saturday night (unbelievable...i wanted to see it again as soon as the credits started rolling). side note: so sad what happened in aurora colorado last week, and we really second guessed going to see the movie, but i am oh so glad we did. it was awesome - makes me really upset that it's christopher nolan's finale to the trilogy, but, hey, maybe he'll surprise us! yesterday was spent working on wedding stuff and/or house repairs. you can guess who worked on what ;). last night, i made spaghetti squash for the first time ever, and it was so delish! i'm trying to find creative [and yummy] ways to get my veggies in since i'm not the biggest fan. i was impressed! spaghetti squash is delicious and i cannot wait to make it incorporating other recipes. so, i am feeling really refreshed and totally ready to take this week on! that rarely happens on a monday, so i am pretty proud of myself. hope you all had a great weekend and a good kick off to the week ahead.

speaking of aurora, i wanted to sign off with this amazing speech from colorado's senator mike johnston. yes, it's long, but i can promise you that it's well worth it.
